KH.OS X ECCO 2021
KH. OS’s In Transition collection consists of three shoes that each showcase the different stages of the migration from city to nature, both mentally and physically. We want our products to embrace and guide the consumer comfortably on the path of redefining their daily pattern.
The conforming social structure in which most of us are
born into we are made to believe that to achieve a great life we need to strive for cooperate success, a lot of money and material possessions. Social media acts as a showroom where you can’t help but compare yourself to people around you and influencers, embodying their “perfect fulfilled life”. When will we ever feel content and at peace if we are caught in the stressful circle of exceeding? Stop the momentum and
define for yourself what brings true meaning to your life.
KH.OS wish to encourage the big city trotters to look deeper in search of a more meaningful life. Spending time on what really matters such as family, friends, and time in nature. We want to question the belief that “we live to work” and change it to “we work to live”. Encouraging the future nomad to work only when necessary and spend the remainder of their time on things that brings meaning and peace to their life.
KH. BREATHE pays homage to the city sneakers but with a touch of natural soft in tone colors of green. The sole street 720 has breathing holes to accommodate the calm exploration in both the physical and mental stage. The upper mesh materials provide breathability and in collaboration with Gore-Tex it also achieves great water resistance. In relation to the usage with KH. NOMAD the chosen design is simple to keep the aesthetic calm and secure a great fit.
KH. NOMAD functions as a flexible add on to the flat city
sneaker, with the purpose of making it moredurable in changing terrains. The flexible fit ensures effortless insertion and allows KH. BREATH to peep through the negative spaces of the NOMAD. The Breathing holes from KH. CALM is still visible and functional, but the NOMAD sole encourages one to go explore nature as a part of oneself.
KH. LEVITATE is the final stage of the transition, physically showcasing the goal stage of mind. The soft organic shapes draw parallels to the bouncy landscape and the pattern imitates the wind in the trees. The sole has a ring like structure imitating the annual rings of a tree stem. Furthermore, the sole raises you from the ground to a more elevated conscious state of mind, while keeping you rooted on the forest floor.
